Takaful Ikhlas Sdn. Bhd. (Takaful Ikhlas), pengendali insurans Islam menyasarkan kutipan premium kasar sebanyak RM600 juta pada tahun ini daripada pelanggan-pelanggannya di seluruh negara.

Pengerusinya, Sharkawi Alis berkata, jangkaan tersebut merupakan peningkatan sebanyak RM172 juta berbanding kutipan sebanyak RM428 juta yang diperoleh pada tahun lepas.

Katanya, walaupun sasaran awal ialah sebanyak RM520 juta, Takaful Ikhlas yakin dapat mencatat kutipan sebanyak RM600 juta untuk tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Mac 2009 ekoran sambutan daripada orang ramai terhadap 78 produk yang ditawarkan syarikat itu.

Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd aims to capture 33 percent market share of Takaful plan for government housing loan with the set up of its new Treasury Business Centre here in Putrajaya.

Group managing director of Takaful Malaysia, Datuk Mohamed Hassan Kamil said with the opening of its new centre at the Ministry of Finance Complex in Putrajaya, services will be further enhanced to cater to the needs of customers who are mainly civil servants.

The centre which was launched today will commence operations tomorrow.

Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN) plans to expand its takaful market, including strengthening its position in the non-Muslim market, which makes up 35 percent of its customers.

“We will continue to educate the public that takaful is not meant for Muslim certificate holders only,” said its chief executive officer Mohamad Salihuddin Ahmad.

“Setting an exemplary standard of delivery and world-class service will be our first task,” he said in a statement Friday.
