Takaful Ikhlas gives out RM10,000 in aid to Kedah flood victims

Provider of Islamic financial protection services Takaful Ikhlas Sdn Bhd has allocated RM10,000 to alleviate the burden of flood victims in Kedah, in view of the forthcoming Aidilfitri celebration.
Takaful Ikhlas Regional Marketing Manager Hazzrie Abu Bakar said, the amount was allocated to aid flood victims in four areas in the state namely Sidam, Bukit Selambau, Guar Chempedak and Titi Serong.
“In fulfilling our social responsibility, Takaful Ikhlas is ready to come forward to assist the unfortunate, at any time,” Hazzrie told Bernama after handing out food hampers to 50 families affected by flood, here, on Monday.
Hazzrie said, apart form the food assistance, the company had also launched a programme called Jejak Fakir to identify needy individuals and families. “To date, we have identified 34 of them, and we have already channelled special aids to them,” he said.
He said that Takaful Ikhlas was willing to provide assistance to destitute people in the interiors of the country, while promoting the company to rural villages nationwide.
