Takaful Ikhlas eyes higher premiums

Takaful Ikhlas Sdn Bhd expects to rake a higher premiums of RM80 million in 2010 financial year from RM49.1 million last year with the launch of its Ikhlas Cash Incentive Campaign.
The campaign is for its insurance plans, Ikhlas Takaful Gadaijanji and Ikhlas Takaful Pemilik Rumah, for borrowers from the government’s Housing Loans Division.
Its president/chief executive officer, Datuk Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman, said the campaign, first launched in 2007, had received an overwhelming response from the government servants.
“As at the end of last financial year, we have about 20,000 policyholders for both schemes,” he told a media briefing after launching the campaign here today.
Syed Moheeb said the government servants under the Ikhlas Takaful Gadaijanji plan would get cash benefit equivalent to five percent of the contribution.
He said the company would give out about RM3 million for the purpose.
