MAA Takaful Bhd has won the “Most Outstanding Takaful Product” for its Takafulink product at the Sixth Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Awards Ceremony 2009 in Kuala Lumpur.

Its chief executive officer Salim Majid Zain said in a statement today that winning the award was a significant achievement for MAA Takaful.

“MAA Takaful has been and will always be at the forefront of Syarah-based innovations to accomplish our mission to enrich the lives of our customers,” he said.

He also attributed the company’s success to its choice of products as these were specifically designed to cater to current market needs.
Takafulink, launched in July 2007, is an investment-linked product targeted at Malaysians who needed takaful protection while enjoying the upside potential of the underlying investment.
