Takaful Ikhlas disburses RM411,000 to cancer patient beneficiary

Nor Rashidah Salleh, who passed away from cancer in October last year, made the right decision by participating in the takaful insurance coverage plan in 2007.
As a result of her foresight, Takaful Ikhlas Sdn Bhd (Takaful IKHLAS) disbursed the sum of RM411,409.49 to her beneficiary, Mohd Razib Ali, 50, in settlement of her claim entitlement recently.
In the spirit of the idiom ‘saving for a rainy day’, takaful insurance coverage prepares one for the uncertainties of the future, Takaful IKHLAS President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman said in a statement Thursday.
“Indisputably, nothing can take the place of a mother’s love. Nevertheless, proceeds from the deceased’s takaful entitlement will be of help to her beneficiaries at this time of need,” Syed Moheed said.
The late Nor Rashidah had subscribed to a takaful scheme in which profits derived from investments made by Takaful IKHLAS under the scheme would be distributed to the participants or their beneficiaries.
According to Mohd Razib, the money received from the takaful claim will be used for his children’s education.
