Mayban Fortis Holdings Berhad has awarded Lowe & Partners Malaysia the account to launch Malaysia’s newest insurance company brand.
Lowe says in a statement that it was awarded the business after a competitive pitch against Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi and Bates Asia.
The new company to be launched is an amalgamation of Maybank Insurance Group, Takaful Nasional and Malaysia National Insurance (MNI).
The new company’s name will be announced later.
In addition to the corporate branding assignment that triggered the initial round of creative agency competition, Lowe has also been made the creative agency for the insurer’s products, call centre and activation campaigns.
Mayban Fortis Holdings Executive Vice President (Corporate Planning and Strategy) Shahril Azuar Jimin says: “Lowe was chosen because its strategy and ideas were not only powerful creatively but were business focused. Their ideas synergise with our vision.”
Lowe & Partners Managing Director Khairudin Rahim says the driving force for the agency’s pitch was to present a high value creative idea that would not only be engaging with customers but also be a unifying battle cry among employees of the new entity.
